💗 A poem about being a stay at home Mam by Caroline Leech

💗 We are so lucky with the endless talent we have in our Nurture Niche Group! I was thrilled to bits to discover some members who had a love for writing poetry just like I do.

💗 I’m a big advocate for women empowering women so I wanted to use my blog this week to showcase one of the amazing pieces of poetry by Caroline Leech and I thank her for being kind enough to allow me to share her work. The subject matter of this piece I’m sure resonates with so many of us. Thank you Caroline.

How can you feel lonely when you're never alone or want to run away from the one place that you call home.

How can you feel empty when your day is always full with bouts of anger that manifest from things so minuscule.

It's real it's raw and it hits you hard one day you're happy, the next you're sad but this is the life you had dreamt about so cop on now, be grateful, and sort yourself out.

The kids come first in everything you do, no time for Hubby, no time for you. The days are long yet the days go fast and you wonder how so much time has passed.; without really having time to think or even dream, caught up with the monotony of keeping others fed & clean. And some days feel like the walls are closing in, yet the madness of the outside world pulls you right back in again.

Don't get me wrong your heart is full, its consumed with love for these little ones. When they lay sleeping and the day is done you'll know what keeps you going, it's that privilege of being their "Mum".
