Mix & Blend to Soothe & Mend
Aromatherapy is an ancient practice. We know that for a fact, because there are pictures on the walls of the tomb of Ankmahor a famous Egyptian physician that lived around 3,000 years ago.
However, it only got its modern name Aromatherapy on the turn of the 20th Century. It has come full circle that now we are using ancient remedies and oils and practices to regain better health and maintain it. Most especially since lockdown and the recent turn of events regarding the virus.
The realisation that therapies have a huge role to play in our health care system is becoming more and more evident.
Aromatherapy is a wonderful support to my clients while they are healing. Fragrances and aromas are such a comfort when feeling low or struggling with stress and anxiety. I often make a blend if I think it is necessary, to suit each client’s needs when working with QTT, Reflexology, Mindfulness or Stress Management.
Should you require a blend to assist you with stress, insomnia, PMT, muscle pain, and an endless list of other conditions, we can always have a 30-minute Aromatherapy consultation over zoom to assess the blend needed and have it posted out to you, with correct instructions for use.
Using essential oils for self-care has been a practice of mine for many years. I trained as an Aromatherapist over 20 years ago, and I always buy them from a reputable Irish firm, Atlantic Aromatics they are always fresh, very good quality and reasonably priced.
A good blend for low energy is Sweet Orange, Rosemary, lemon.
My personal favourite blend is Rose, Geranium and Lavender just beautiful.
Aromatherapy is a trained profession, taking many hours of study and practice. It is so important to ask the client to inhale the blend first to test its affect. Essential oils can be dangerously toxic if used incorrectly.
